In short: BinderCheck is built to know as little about you as possible. There are no ads. The only outside tracking is a visit counter and the TCGplayer affiliate script described below. Without signing in, everything stays in your browser. If you sign in, your collection is encrypted in your browser before it is saved, and BinderCheck keeps neither your email address nor your name.

Without signing in

Everything you do is saved only in your own browser: the cards you tick, what you paid, your binders and lists, the daily value of your collection, and your settings. Nothing about you is sent to BinderCheck.

What is stored on the server

Data is stored on Cloudflare (Cloudflare D1). BinderCheck never sells or shares data.

Affiliate links (Impact)

BinderCheck is a TCGplayer affiliate. To credit BinderCheck when someone buys on TCGplayer after following a link here, the site loads a script from Impact (impact.com), the company that runs TCGplayer's affiliate programme. It turns TCGplayer links into affiliate links and counts how often they are shown and clicked. Impact and TCGplayer may set cookies to recognise a purchase that came from BinderCheck. They don't receive your collection or anything you saved here. See Impact's privacy policy.

Visitor counts

BinderCheck uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. It uses no cookies, doesn't follow you across websites and doesn't identify you: it shows only totals such as how many people opened a page and which countries they came from.

Community profile

If you make a community profile, these are public and stored as they are (not encrypted), because their purpose is to be seen: the username and display name you choose, your picture (a colour or a card picture), your "about you" text, the country and town or area you enter (never an address, unless you make a shop profile and add your shop's), and, if you leave it on, your collection stats (cards and sets per game, sets completed). Want lists and trade lists you show are compared with other people's in your country to suggest trades. So are the binders you choose to show (only to your followers, or to everyone), who you follow and who follows you, your likes and your comments. Follow requests need your approval. Your email address, your Google account and the rest of your collection are never shown.

To delete it all, open My profile and choose Delete my community profile; deleting your saved collection removes it too. Reports you send about a profile, binder or comment are kept so the BinderCheck team can review them. Notifications (follow requests, likes, comments) are kept for 60 days. "Price drop" alerts are worked out in your browser from your own want lists.

When you make a binder video, it is made in your browser and saved to your device; BinderCheck doesn't keep it. The card pictures for it pass through bindercheck.com so the video can be recorded.

Shared binders and lists

When you choose Share on a binder or list, BinderCheck saves a public copy that anyone with the link can see: its name, cover, page size and its cards (name, set, number, version, picture and price). The copy contains nothing about you and isn't linked to your account. Changes you make to the binder update the copy. Stop sharing deletes it straight away. Shared pages are not listed for search engines.

Price history

Every day, BinderCheck saves the market value of every set. This is public market data and has nothing to do with you. The value of your own cards over time is worked out and saved in your browser, and synced with the rest of your collection if you sign in.

Other services the site uses

Card data, pictures and prices come from Scryfall (Magic) and from TCGplayer through TCGCSV (Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana, One Piece, Digimon, Gundam, Riftbound); Cardmarket prices come through Scryfall. Pictures are loaded straight from Scryfall's and TCGplayer's servers, which, like any website, see your IP address. Exchange rates come from ExchangeRate-API. Pages are delivered by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to serve the site. Links to Amazon, TCGplayer and Ko-fi are ordinary links, and some are affiliate links; those sites have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can see, export (Excel export is built in) and delete everything BinderCheck holds about you yourself, using the tools above. Because BinderCheck doesn't know your name or email address, it can't look you up. For any question or request, write to feedback@bindercheck.com. If you are in the UK or the EU, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.
